Attendant's engagement ring looked nice to me(Well, maybe most of my friends who 'showed off the rock," don't have the same taste as me.

There are plenty of folks on the asexual spectrum. In a biased society, that sometimes makes it hard for them to find steady jobs. On the other hoof, some jobs fit really well with those orientations. If this is one of them, that might be an angle for you to explore for mutual benefit.

It's a known issue across caregiving professions, that some people tend do it while young and single but then quit once they get married, so they can focus on their own family. One solution to that is looking for caregivers who don't plan to get married. Another is to look for those who are already married.
