Urban Dandelion
My life is not a favor.
If it were maybe it would have more flavor.
To be clear, I mostly like to give.
But I shouldn’t have to be perfect to live.
Tiny, yet cheap, woman bonsai tree.
Much as people might like one,
It isn’t me.
At heart, I am a dandelion,
Spreading seeds from a crack
That’s not really mine,
That sometimes people hate to find,
While people wait for the yellow flowers I also love
To come back.
I hang on anyway.
A better world is possible
